Pray that a container arrives before school starts up again at Dakar Academy on Thursday. “Its contents include our school supplies for this year," and electrical system parts, wrote Lois Clark, who teaches at the school. While problems with electricity have been less common lately, “it will be nice to have those here, get them installed, and have them ‘on duty’ for those times when the power is cut.”

Papua New Guinea: Praise the Lord with us that Scott Sasaki has been able to return as principal of Numonohi Christian Academy, a K-12 school for the children of missionaries, after some life-threatening health issues. Thank God also for a complete teaching staff for this school year, which begins today. Pray that the teachers are able to complete their preparations in time.

Papua New Guinea: “Our next school year looks like a busy one for me,” wrote Rhesa Bagley, who teaches missionaries’ children at Numonohi Christian Academy. She’ll be teaching math and tutoring one or two students. She’s also been asked to help oversee the boarding program and help with the band. “Please pray that I won’t get so busy that I don’t have time for people.”

It’s break time at the school where Barbara Lee teaches the children of missionaries, but that just means more flexibility, not less work. “I will be organizing our extra curriculum and home-school resources and also hope to have sufficient time for curriculum planning for next year,” Barbara wrote Teaching several grades at once means her science and history curriculum must change each year. “I use a variety of resources to teach the class together as one group, and this would not be possible without this extra time for planning and preparation.” Pray that she is able to prepare well.
Jessica Miller enjoyed her first year teaching missionaries’ children and looks forward to next year.
