More Kunas will be able to read the complete Bible in their language when it is complete in 2013 because a literacy program has been fully funded.

The believers now have Psalms, Proverbs and Exodus and are expected to have a complete Bible by 2013.
It’s not enough to have the Bible in your own language if you can’t read.

Kuna missionaries Anelio and Silverixia have established a church in the village their church sent them to, and they and some of the new believers have been teaching God’s Word in another village. Now the leaders of that village are asking for a believer to live there so they can spend more time teaching the Bible and literacy. Pray for God’s wisdom, provision and timing in responding to this request.

Jerry and Joyce McDaniels are giving the Kuna literacy program one final check before it is printed. “This means there are six primers, each with detailed daily lesson plans for the teachers, student writing practice, worksheets, extra reading practice booklets,” Jerry and Joyce wrote. “Would you pray with us that God would multiply our time and allow us to complete all this checking and editing? Pray that this literacy program will be used by God so that the Kuna people will be able to read and love God’s Word in their own language.”
