Now what?

Missionaries Dan and Sarah Alkire are building relationships with the Nauahtl people in Mexico as they study the culture and language.

"We have spent the last five-and-a-half months building relationships, doing construction and learning language with the Nauahtl people, pronounced ’now what,’" wrote Sarah, "and thanking God everyday for this great privilege."

While Dan and Sarah study the culture and language of the Nauahtls they also learn to cope with some new living conditions:

    • No running water

    • Bathing in a creek

    • Using an outhouse

    • Cutting grass with a machete

    • No mail, e-mail or internet for four months

    • No transportation for five months because the truck

broke down, and due to the rains no parts were available before dry season.

"I am still pinching myself to see if this is all real," wrote Sarah. "I cannot even begin to explain to you how truly thankful we are to be a part of reaching these people for Christ."

Pray for Dan and Sarah as they adjust to their life in a Nauahtl village and that they will be diligent in learning the culture and language of the people. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of the Nauahtls to receive the Gospel message.
