Tala Andig teachers rejoice

"It is so clear now, the way of salvation is so clear," said a Tala Andig villager in the Philippines. "I am saved now -- I am saved. Jesus saved me."

In June Tala Andig Bible teachers went to another village to assist missionaries Steve and Ros Baird in an outreach. This week Bible teachers Rodil, Dagoy and Ruel finished teaching evangelistic Bible lessons to 40 people and they were delighted in the responses they heard.

One woman, with tears pouring down her face, said, "I am sorry Lord that You had to be beaten for my sin. I am sorry that You had to be spat on, that You had to be nailed on the cross for my sin."

Several teenagers were openly crying and after the meeting ran to the back of the meeting house because they wanted to cry alone. Later they said they were crying because they realized what Jesus endured to save them.

The Bible teachers were praising God and rejoicing as they listened to the testimonies. Missionaries working among the Tala Andigs -- Paul and Debbie Howells, Steve and Roslyn Baird, Josh and Belinda Moffit and Noriejane Cutab -- also rejoiced as these folks trusted God for salvation.

Pray for the Bible teachers and missionaries as they begin teaching and strengthening these new believers. Praise God with us that there are 30 people in another village wanting to hear evangelistic Bible lessons. Teaching is scheduled to begin there next month.
