Teaching Angaites where they stand

New believers receive 12 hours of Firm Foundation Bible lessons focused on their position in Christ.

Missionaries Wes Goddard and his cousin Mark recently helped teach a group of new Angaite believers. Getting there required was a 12-hour trip on an overloaded boat with standing room only. They praised the Lord for a safe journey.

Mark and Wes assisted an Angaite Bible teacher as he taught a group of new believers from Firm Foundations Bible lessons. “We taught two hours in the morning, and two hours in the afternoon during 3 days. We did a lot of teaching about our position in Christ, as believers, and how we have an excellent standing before God, because of Jesus Christ.”

Mark’s wife Odie accompanied them and spent much of her time talking with Angaite women. After three days of teaching and encouraging the three had an 8-hour trip.. downriver This time it was extremely cold on the deck of the boat as temperatures dropped to near freezing in the Paraguayan winter.

Praise God that the Angaite new believers are more grounded and have a better understanding of God’s Word.

Pray that Wes will continue to be used in teaching and establishing tribal believers. Pray too for Mark and Odie Goddard as they minister among the Angaite and Pai Tavy Tera peoples.
