You Prayed and Tepehuan Attendance Doubled

Because You Prayed

“A few weeks back the editor from New Tribes Mission wrote an article about the Tepehuan people,” wrote missionary Kevin Case. “The day it went out (to about 3,000 subscribers) church attendance almost doubled with all the Tepehuan who came. God is at work and it is because of your prayers.”

Change Keeps Coming

And that wasn’t the end of it. Things began to happen that just never happened. Like two weeks later a different group showed up at church. And then Celia, one of the Tepehuan women, organized a potluck at the church of her own initiative. Maybe that sounds like a little thing, but for the missionaries, that was big.

There was more. When one of the church leaders, Chelo, didn’t show up in time to teach, Cases’ co-workers, Matt and Starr Arnold, were pleasantly surprised to see Gregorio rise to the occasion and give a clear testimony. Even the mid-week Bible study began to grow.

Your prayers, targeted toward the Tepehuan people, are making a difference.

“Your prayers, targeted toward the Tepehuan people, are making a difference,” Kevin wrote. And by that, Kevin’s trying to say, “Keep them coming!”

Pray for the Tepehuan church in general and for Gregorio specifically. Gregorio is a long-time believer and a respected member of the community. The Cases would like to see Gregorio step up and take a more active leadership role in the Tepehuan church.
