What a privilege we have to work together to see the saving message of Jesus Christ go out to the unreached villages of the Iski. Thank you so much for your steadfast partnership with us in this ministry. Knowing you are standing behind us holding us up through prayer and support means so much to us.”

Back to West Africa

Lív Poulsen ministers in West Africa as a Bible translator to the Badiyaranké people “I have just finished Hebrews and am now working on James. I will have a consultant check in November. My translation of 1 and 2 Thessalonians and Revelation will be checked and also the chapters of Joshua that a young believer has translated. It will take around eight days. The consultant is coming all the way from the USA. This is the first time that he will check my work, and this is also the first time that the young believer will have any of his work checked. Please pray that everything will go well and that it will be an encouraging time. Of the epistles I still have 1 and 2 Peter, 1, 2 and 3 John and Jude to do. Then I need to finish the gospels of Matthew, Luke and John. So, I still have some way to go till the New Testament is finished, but I am encouraged with the progress. The epistles are harder than the Gospels, where a lot is narrative. It is a privilege to be able to be a part of this work. Thank you so much for being willing to partner with me in prayer and to support in different ways.” Pray for the consultant check this month.

Lív Poulsen ministers in West Africa as a Bible translator to the Badiyaranké people “I have just finished Hebrews and am now working on James. There are numerous steps to be followed, each one specifically designed to produce a translation that is accurate and understandable. Each step is time-consuming, taking weeks or months to complete. You can imagine the joy we feel in checking off the ‘completed’ box as each task for each book is finished. Each checkmark means much more than just completing a process.
