Cori Gervasi is asking for prayer for Ke’ and Ne’, “who have been helping us with the translation of Ephesians. The Lord is working in their lives and giving them the desire to serve Him. They are excellent translation checkers, but stepping out in faith in any culture is hard.”
Translating Ephesians into the Sekadau language is “a brain-twisting exercise.”

Naomi Christenson and Cori Gervasi have passed the evaluation of their formal study of the Sekadau culture and language, and are ready to begin translating God’s Word. The verdict came at the end of what Naomi called a “brain-stretching week” with experienced missionary Coral Walles. Thank you for praying.

Experienced missionary Coral Walles is working with Cori Gervasi and Naomi Christensen this week to determine how well Cori and Naomi are learning the Sekadau culture and language. The check “will enable Coral to see where we've excelled and where we still need work,” Naomi wrote. “It's always so encouraging to be evaluated, a bit stressful and yes, exhausting, but really rewarding to see what God has enabled us to learn.” Pray that the evaluation sets a clear path for Cori and Naomi.
