Requirements:
• Have a valid Florida driver’s license – at least a Class E.
• General knowledge of landscape plants and plant care.
• Knowledge of power tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Be physically fit for hard, strenuous work in hot and humid weather.
• Be willing to gain necessary certification in the proper use and handling of pesticides and herbicides.
• Ability to work in a team and to be a self-starter.
• Ability to learn and willingness to learn.
• Skills to supervise work groups and volunteers in landscaping and maintenance.
• A growing relationship with Christ.

Salary: None – Financial support raising required
Purpose: The purpose of this position is to maintain The Homes grounds. The Homes exists to provide a nurturing and caring environment, attempting to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of its residents, with staff and facility capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Use commercial power equipment/machinery for facility grounds maintenance. Perform preventative and/or limited maintenance on the above-mentioned equipment. Perform general grounds maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, landscaping, and troubleshooting landscape problems. Assist with the installation and maintenance/repair of irrigation system. Maintain and perform a pesticide and herbicide schedule with appropriate training. Other duties as assigned.
