Requirements:
Required Qualifications (screenings can be accomplished at The Homes of Ethnos360 ALF):
* Current level 2 background screening (Florida Department of Law Enforcement)
* Current screening and doctor's and doctor's verification of being free of communicable disease (including TB) and agree not to work at the facility while in the transferable stage of any communicable disease that might be contracted in the future. TB screening is renewed annually.
*Current RN license in the state of Florida.
*Physically able to assist residents with activities of daily living.

Purpose: The Homes exists to provide a nurturing and caring environment, attempting to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of its residents, within staff and facility capabilities. The purpose of this position is to provide physical and emotional support and security to ALF residents by supervising or assisting them with their needs. Examples of needs include, but are not limited to, the Activities of Daily Living, the self-administration of medication, observation of well being and whereabouts, reminders of important tasks and driving to doctor appointments.
Responsibilities: The RN's primary role is that of Personal Care Attendant. All responsibilities of that ministry position are included here by reference. This job description only details the additional responsibilities that the RN license allows, which include:
- Perform the initial training and updates for ALF staff assisting with medications. Possibly other initial training as well.
- Instruct personal care staff "in-services" on topic such as personal hygiene, infection control, geriatric care, medication assistance, etc.
- Oversee the annual TB Screening of Homes staff.
- Administer medications in accordance with a health care provider's order or prescription label and document all occurrences of medication administration.
- Communicate with professional healthcare staff by phone and/or fax regarding new or revised medication orders. Follow up on medication orders and changes.
- Manage pill organizers to be used only by residents who self-administer medications. Instruct the resident in the proper use of the pill organizer.
- Administer and regulate portable oxygen.
Other responsibilities will be communicated upon request.

Most nursing services are not permitted due to our facility license, so the RN will not be able to practice up to the scope of her nursing license. The only nursing services she can perform are the ones enumerated in the list of responsibilities.
The ALF must be staffed 7 days per week. Full time employees are expected to work 40 hours per week. Part time employees work abouit 20 hours per week. Some hours will be on weekends and holidays.
