Scripture Typesetter/Layout Specialist
Requirements:
Good organizational skills, careful attention to details, an eye for design layout, capacity for working with design software, ability to keep track of multi-stage projects, and an ability to communicate technical terminology clearly with overseas missionary teams.
Global Partners would provide training for a qualified person through an online workshop that teaches the candidate how to use the necessary listed programs -- Paratext, Publishing Assistant, Adobe InDesign Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat. Prior experience in InDesign and Photoshop would be helpful. Prior experience in Paratext is a requirement. A former translator is preferred.

Purpose: To format tribal New Testament text for printing.
Responsibilities: The person in this position would be using various publishing and design software programs to take a missionary team's Scripture translation project and prepare it for printing. The software used in this ministry includes Paratext, Publishing Assistant, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat.
* A former translator is preferred because of prior experience with Paratext and translation in general.
