A believer's legacy

Mandes’ deathbed testimony as she died from cancer in 2010 had far-reaching effects. Lenson, a young Lavongai man, was drawn by her words and came to put his faith in Christ.Lenlson has been a faithful co-worker of missionary Jon Mitchell and recently traveled with him to a translation workshop. When he returned to his village, he became increasingly aware that he had not heard the Firm Foundations Bible lessons. So he asked missionary Wade Ebersole to teach a class for him along with three other friends.

Recently Lenson was able to point a young man who has stolen from the missionaries in the past in the right direction. The man is carrying a big chip on his shoulder because he feels the missionaries owe him money. After listening patiently to his tirade,Lenson told him that what he needed was the Lord in his life. He told him that he needs to set aside all the things that are weighing him down and come to the Bible teaching. Pray that the young man will listen to the wise counsel from Lenson and come to the Firm Foundations Bible teaching.

Several Lavongai believers who are in a discipleship Bible study with Wade determined to spend the next several weeks praying and preparing for this new round of Firm Foundations Bible lessons.

Pray for Lenson and his friends as Wade unfolds the lessons on the Christ who died for them. Pray that all will clearly understand the whole message and will trust in Christ completely.
