A reason to celebrate
The combined efforts of many believers have provided the Tala Andig people in the Philippines with a complete New Testament in their own language.
After being printed and bound with the help of tribal believers in a neighboring people group, the precious cargo was flown in by an SIL airplane this week.
After days of heavy monsoon rain the Lord cleared the skies in the Philippines and gave a day of sunshine and great joy.
The Tala Andig believers needed no reminder of what day this was. This was a day that will always be remembered. The believers were all up at the airstrip early, singing and laughing as they anticipated this momentous event. As we neared the airstrip we could hear beautiful choruses being sung and the laughter of many happy people.
When the airplane landed and taxied to a standstill everyone clapped their hands with joy and jumped up and down.
This day was made possible because you prayed and the Lord heard and answered. The Tala Andig believers rejoiced when they realized the reason for the beautiful weather, the safe flights and a wonderful celebration was because of your prayers.
