A week to ponder
Phil Henderson and his family are taking a breather this week.
After eight weeks of working every day of the week we are ready for a break,” Phil wrote. When Phil and his wife, Elin, haven’t been teaching Bible lessons to the Mwinika people or following up to be sure they’re understood, they’ve been translating Scriptures and preparing lessons.
The break comes about halfway through the series of evangelistic Bible lessons. The previous week set the stage for a crucial lesson.
“On Monday we talked about the plagues that God sent on the Egyptians,” Phil wrote.”On Tuesday we discussed the Passover and how Pharaoh finally allowed the Israelites to leave. On Wednesday we discussed the crossing of the Red Sea and how God rescued the Israelites. On Thursday we talked about how the Lord provided food and water for the Israelites in the wilderness. The audience was amazed at how God worked.”
Before taking time off, they taught about God giving the Law to the children of Israel. The break will “let them ponder on it for a week,” Phil wrote.
“Pray that these important lessons will hit home.”
