Angaites encouraged by visit
Recently Wes Goddard and his cousin Mark made a long journey to visit the Angaite village in Paraguay where Mark ministered several years ago.
Mark currently ministers among the Sanapanas and Wes works with the Pai Tavy Tera people. They traveled by pickup truck and then 12 hours by passenger boat up the river to the Angaite village. They visited the church leaders and many of the villagers and also attended a Wednesday night believers' meeting.
Mark and Wes spent four days in the village and then boarded the passenger boat to travel back downriver, taking an Angaite couple with them.
They took the couple to a Pai Tavy Tera village where Mark's sister Barbara Windler and her husband John minister. The Angaite couple attended an afternoon meeting of the Pai church.
On Tuesday the couple went to one of the weekly Bible studies held in Pai homes. They observed the chronological Bible series being taught in a home setting.
The Angaite couple returned to their home encouraged by the fellowship of other believers and by the things they observed.
Wes and Mark ask that God will continue to work in the hearts of the Angaites and that they will have wisdom to further encourage the people. Pray also for the Pai believers as they teach and shepherd others.
