Back to the familiar
After more than six weeks of being in a strange city, Tatak and his mother are back home in their familiar Philippine village, happy to be reunited with their family.
Toward the end of their time in Manila, Tatak and Kilsit were asking on a daily basis if they could go home. Doctors finally determined what was causing the growth in Tatak’s cheek and a decision was made on the best way to treat it.
Tatak will have to make another trip to Manila in January for a procedure that will hopefully cause the mass to dissipate.
Doctors also prescribed a different medication for Tatak’s epileptic seizures and he has been seizure-free since the adjustment was made. The young boy was also able to have some much needed dental work done.
"We just pray this experience will be used to speak to Kilsit, Tatak and other Brooke's Point Palawano friends of God’s love even before they’ve heard His Word," wrote missionary Julie Ward.
