Baniwas hear about God's superiority

A group of 37 Baniwas gathered in their Brazilian village last week to hear the beginning of evangelistic Bible lessons.

The people interrupted missionary Zenilson Bezerra’s teaching with a lot of questions.

It was difficult for many in the group to accept the concept that God doesn’t need anything and that he always existed without having a place to live.

One older man came to speak with Zenilson after two days of teaching.

"I still do not know who God really is," he said. "To me He was something useless. But I am hearing now in Genesis that He is superior to everyone, and I am beginning to learn a little, for only knowing for a fact who He is will I be able to say He is my Chief."

Please pray that Zenilson can clearly present God’s Word to the Baniwa people and that they will acknowledge God’s grace through Christ’s sacrifice.

The teaching will continue Monday through Friday mornings for the next three months.
