Bible study helps Mengens
Mengen believers are growing in their understanding of God’s Word. Missionary Lourens Laureti is discipling several groups.
“This morning I squeezed about 18 into my office for a very good time of Bible study and fellowship and lots of laughter,” wrote Lourens.
He also teaches a group of ladies on Saturday and some older men on Thursday mornings. Several of the younger men have begun working as a group in their gardens. This allows them to have good Christian fellowship while they work, and often in the evening they meet for singing and fellowship which can carry on into the early hours of the morning.
Bible study, fellowship and joyful worship has encouraged a group of believers to reach out to their fellow Mengen speakers and let them know more about God’s Word. They want to tell them about the change that the Gospel has brought to their lives.
“So please pray for these guys as they go out on their first evangelical journey,” Lourens wrote.
When the group told the other believers about their proposed journey the believers said, “People’s support is allowing Lourens to be here. We should support our guys going out too.”
Praise God with us for spiritual growth in the lives of the Mengens and for their outreach to other Mengen speakers.
