Child running fever after surgery
Last week Richard and Carmen Gappmayr were told that their 6-year-old son Elias’ brain tumor was benign, and then they received a shock when told otherwise.
An MRI shows that the surgery did not remove the entire tumor and that there is malignancy involved. The Gappmayrs have been told that another MRI will be needed in about four weeks to determine the tumor’s status and the necessary treatment.
Currently Elias has been running a fever and has been lethargic. The Gappmayrs are praying his condition will improve so he can be discharged from the hospital, but he will still be unable to travel due to his weakened condition.
Please pray for Elias’ recovery and that God will give wisdom to the doctors and Richard and Carmen as they make decisions.
