Churches challenged to plant churches

Missionaries Mike and Trisha Goddard attended a mission conference where they discussed the best possible ways to plant churches in Paraguay.

Before attending the conference, they visited an Ache village where they were able to interact with the people while their children played with the Ache children.

"Mike has been highly interested in the idea of mobilizing tribal churches simultaneously with the [Paraguayan] church so that missions in Paraguay can take on a three-way partnership between the expatriates, [Paraguayans], and tribal people," the couple wrote.

At the conference, Mike had the chance to give a 15-minute presentation to challenge people to get involved in tribal church planting.

"One of the keys to unlocking this door in Paraguay is a clear-cut plan laid out to mobilize the church," they wrote.

"Your prayers are vital to the success of this country making the transition from being only a mission field to that of a sending country," they concluded.

Please pray for the Goddards and the other missionaries as they encourage local churches to become partners in the church-planting effort.
