Cleaning, filling and pulling and free toothpaste

Last week more than 100 Southern Tepehuan people in Mexico were treated by a dentist from the USA and missionaries.

Despite fighting sickness, Dr. Dan Bentley and missionaries John and Linda Steinbacher kept busy meeting the people’s needs.

"We were so encouraged by them and their willingness to serve the Lord in this way," wrote Barry Wingo. "They did cleaning, filling and pulling, and all those that came got a free toothbrush and paste."

A woman that had a tooth pulled said, "Last night I finally slept great with no pain."

One man, after brushing his teeth, said, "My mouth feels really good."

"Some of our friends were brave enough to go to the dentist for the first time," Barry wrote.

Each morning before going to the clinic the team spent time in God’s Word.

"Candy and I were very blessed by the encouragement we received from what the dentists shared from the Word," Barry wrote. "They also told us that they saw a lot of progress in our ability to communicate, as well as in our relationships with the people."

Please pray for Barry and Candy as they continue building relationships with the Tepehuan people and learning their culture and language so they can soon present the Gospel to them.
