Co-workers training together
For the next 10 days, missionaries Adam and Julie Martin, along with two Akolet language co-workers Gili and Lonsi, will be attending a Bible translation workshop in Papua New Guinea.
"This is a great opportunity to learn about Bible translation principles," Julie wrote.
The Martins are excited for Gili and Lonsi to be joining them. They hope the two will grasp a better understanding of what the church planting work is all about.
The workshop will also give Gili and Lonsi an opportunity to interact with people from other tribal works.
After the workshop, the Martins will have their third language and culture evaluation.
"Please pray for our ... evaluation to give an accurate showing to our consultant where our abilities and weak spots are at so ... we can have good direction for the coming months of continued study," Julie wrote.
Also pray that the workshop is an encouraging learning experience for the missionaries and their language helpers.
