Covering the gap

Over lunch, missionary Allison Lucht talked with Mexican believers about how to best reach children to teach them about Christ.

Chayo observed that, "If they're not getting it at home from their parents, then they're not going to get it."

Encouraged by Chayo's observation, Allison has asked mothers in her literacy class what she and the other missionaries can do to help them help their kids. While they didn't have an immediate response, Allison is hopeful that the seed for generating new ideas has been planted.

She also suggested that they should train some of ladies so they can teach their children. The women were excited about this idea and one even added that her husband was willing to learn to teach the men.

Allison and fellow missionaries are also going to teach classes on the biblical concept of family to help the parents raise Christian children.

Please pray that the missionaries will be successful in teaching parents to teach their children about God's Word.
