Eight Guananos believe
Guanano Bible teacher Herman and missionary Lindy Drake have been teaching evangelistic Bible lessons to a group of Guananos in Brazil over the last several months.
Last week Herman presented the final lesson in the evangelistic Bible series while Lindy was helping Gaunano believers Mario and Nilsa take their very ill baby to the hospital.
Herman called Lindy to tell him that eight Guananos expressed their faith in Christ. Mario was with Lindy when Herman called. The two men praised God and rejoiced together at the news.
During the first Sunday morning service after their return, Lindy and his wife, Carol, encouraged the new believers to share their faith in Christ.
"Many were too shy to talk in front of everyone," wrote Lindy. "But Vicente, Beatrice’s husband, courageously expressed his need for salvation from sin, and his confidence that Jesus was his sin bearer. He also expressed his desire to continue to study God’s Word with us."
Lindy then encouraged the others to come to him with their testimonies. As he left the meeting four Guananos followed and along the path each gave a clear testimony that they were trusting in Christ for Salvation.
Praise God for the new Guanano believers. Pray also for Herman and Lindy as they disciple the new believers.
