Flexibility required

After six weeks of travel to five tribes in Brazil, Phil and Valeree Poulson are back home.

The distance and remoteness of their travels required several forms of transportation -- from jet planes to overloaded air taxis; from jeeps on the back roads to canoes on a few of the Amazon’s many winding tributaries.

Half a dozen nights were spent trying to sleep on buses as they traveled between cities and towns.

"We learned flexibility," Phil wrote. "We learned how to find our way in new situations, and most importantly, we learned more about entrusting our lives into God’s hands. We were blessed and enriched through it all."

The couple visited the different tribal areas, and spent time with the missionary teams who work among those peoples, to encourage, instruct, admonish, evaluate, give guidance and develop strategies.

"In the end, I’m sure we were the ones who learned more and received the greater blessing. We count it an incredible privilege to spend time with these tribal people and the missionaries God has placed to live among them."

Please pray that God will encourage the missionaries that the Poulsons visited and that their labors will produce thriving churches.
