From the beginning

Bonéré, a Konyagi believer, has begun teaching Firm Foundation Bible lessons to the Konyagi people.

As the people heard the first four lessons, one man told him, “If we had been taught this way from the beginning, we would understand many things.”

“That’s our desire,” wrote c, “that they may understand God’s Word and know the God of the universe.”

Since Bonéré began teaching the lessons, Chantal, along with others, is doing a Konyagi-to-French check for accuracy. The checks are a challenge and sometimes provoke heated discussions as to how to best express a certain truth.  But everyone eventually comes to one conclusion and the lesson preparation proceeds.

Soon Chantal and Bonéré will meet with one of the Konyagi elders in Guinea and share their desire to work among the Konyagi. Their hope is that the elders will meet and discuss this and direct them as to the best place to begin teaching.

“Pray for Bonéré as he prepares Bible lessons in the Konyagi language. He is presently working on lesson 13. Pray for the lesson checks as it’s a demanding job. This week we hope to check lessons 10 and 11. Pray that these lessons will be well done and be a great help in sharing the Good News with the Konyagis,”Chantal wrote.

Pray too for Chantal as she ministers among the Konyagi, helping in any way possible. Pray that soon she will be able to move into another Konyagi village and begin ministering there. Pray that soon her teammates, the Hofers and the Nachtigals, can join her in the ministry among the Konyagis.
