Getting ready to go

Missionaries Robert and Cirena Smith are working on partnership development, and it's showing in their young daughter.

Sheila Marie, who is seven, not only drew a picture illustrating part of the reason the Smiths are going, but tries to help out when the couple has meetings. During a recent meeting, Sheila tried to help out by prompting Robert to show a video they use, and gave the visitors one of the Smith's partner booklets with a prayer card.

Robert wrote, "Recently we were reading the back-side of one of NTM's bookmarks that talks about a tribal group desiring to see missionaries come and live among them. Sheila Marie commented, 'I'll go, Daddy.'"

Sheila prays regularly for people who haven't heard. She also prays not just for her parents' language-learning ability, but her own, "so that we can tell the people about Jesus."

"As with any ministry, partnership development can be very tiring at times," Robert wrote, "but it is great to see that our young daughter is taking everything in stride and doing her part to see those that have yet to hear reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

Please pray for the Smiths as they continue to prepare to go and serve Him.
