Gift caps long, hot day

Missionaries Shaun and Melanie Humphreys were tired.

It had been a long, hot and muggy day while they and friends looked at what was to be the site of the Humphreys' ministry, a Nivacle village in Paraguay. It had taken three hours to drive to the tribe, and then they'd spent the day visiting with the Nivacles and checking on the site of their house.

They climbed back into the truck and the missionaries were beginning to enjoy their air conditioning when a tribal man waved them down.

Shaun got out of the truck, and Melanie wondered what the man wanted. "Did he want a ride into town? Did he want to ask us for something? Much to my surprise, it wasn't what I expected."

Shaun returned to the truck with two watermelons, a practical gift from someone who they want to share the greatest gift of all with.

Please pray that the work on the Humphreys' house is completed soon, that they can begin learning culture and language among the Nivacles.
