Hospital stay has positive results

Tiuli, who was mauled by a wild pig last month, and her brother Noah returned to their Siawi village in Papua New Guinea last week and attended church on Sunday.

During a time of testimony, Noah shared that while caring for his sister at the hospital he received a letter from Tom Brendle, who formerly ministered among the Siawis. He was impressed when Tom told him that people everywhere were praying for him and Tiuli.

Noah had shown little interest in spiritual things before the pig incident, but on Friday he approached missionary Linda Krieg with a Pidgin Bible in his hands and a huge smile on his face. He had a question for Linda about a passage in Jeremiah that he read while at the hospital.

Tiuli, who is able to walk with the help of a cane, continues to heal from her wounds and is free from any major infections.

"Please continue to pray for these two young people, that the Lord will use this experience to awaken their hearts to His love and grace," Linda wrote.
