Into Africa
After completing training with New Tribes, missionary Jerry Pettigrew went back to teaching science part-time at a Christian academy in Wisconsin before he left to serve in Mozambique.
The field leadership in Mozambique wanted Jerry and his language partners, Tim and Kat Warner, to try to arrive in January.
Jerry and the Warners contacted a travel agency that assists missionaries and were able to reserve tickets so they'd be able to arrive in Africa within an hour of each other.
"I thank God for allowing us to travel together at the same time and to form a language team," Jerry wrote. "It is rare that such good friends are able to travel over to the field together."
Now that school's out, Jerry has time to travel to churches and meet with supporters before he leaves for Mozambique.
"I hope to continue to make connections and look for opportunities to present the Mozambique ministry in Wisconsin and Illinois," Jerry wrote.
Please pray that all the details of travel will work out for Jerry and the Warners. Also pray that churches and individuals will partner with Jerry through prayer and finances in support of his ministry.
