It is finished

Missionary Lourens Laureti was thrilled when he heard Allan, a new Mengen believer, say, "Ori rongo (It is finished)" after his village was taught about salvation.

"Allan was sharing with me his new found faith," Lourens wrote. "And these were the words he used to say that Christ has paid for all his sin, for all eternity and it is done with now, completed and finished! Never again will he have any worries about sin and hell!"

When conversing with other Mengen believers, Lourens also heard them use the phrase "Ori rongo" to convey the freedom from their sins that Christ has given them. "Em I pinis na Em I baim olgeta," they also say. "He paid for all my past sins and even more until I die."

And now Allan has been sharing his faith with many people.

"There is a new kind of vibrancy among the people, a kind of buzz and excitement which I believe is due to new life," Lourens wrote.

Please pray for Lourens and the other missionaries as they continue to disciple the new Mengen believers. Pray that the Mengen believers will continue to stand strong and grow in their faith.
