Thank you!

It took more than a village

"Carol’s computer is fixed and running," Lindy Drake said with a big grin, "and we have a lot of people to thank for making this happen."

The crew of a boat carried the computer from the Drakes’ home in Brazil to the city of Manaus and back. Fellow missionaries John and Pat Sharp took the computer back and forth between the boat and their office.

In the USA, Dave Brendle, of NTM USA’s Computer Services Department, found and purchased a used screen for Lindy and Carol’s computer. Missionary Dave Sharp carried the screen back to Manaus when he traveled to Brazil with an NTM Summit helps team. Lastly, NTM missionary tech Phil Jansma put it all back together again and sent it by boat to the Drakes in their tribal home.

"I thank every one of these people," Lindy said. "They all have a part in what God is doing among the Guanano people."

Isn’t it amazing that God put each one in the right place, at the right time; moved them around from one country to another and from a city to a tribal village? It all worked together so the literacy work Lindy’s wife Carol is doing could move forward, so tribal people can read and understand the Scriptures in their own language.
