Kaulong Bible teachers reaching other villages
Seven Kaulong churches in Papua New Guinea continue to reach out to others with the Gospel message.
Missionaries Doug and Shirley Laney returned to the USA to help their daughter get settled into Bible School and the Kaulong Bible teachers continued teaching evangelistic Bible lessons in various villages.
The Bible teachers hiked seven hours to reach the village where they taught 68 evangelistic Bible lessons from Creation to the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. When they reached the culmination of the lessons, many trusted Christ.
"We praise the Lord that 33 people were saved and each one gave public testimony of accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, wrote Shirley. "The Lord has planted another church among the Kaulong people and they are meeting and worshiping together."
The churches also initiated two other outreaches. One to the Laney’s home village intended to reach some of the children who had never heard the Bible teaching. Another was in a village three-and-one-half hours away.
"Monday, Nov. 29, in the middle of the Bible lesson, the Kaulong Bible teachers acted out the trial, crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ," Shirley wrote. "We praise God that six kids were saved that day -- one teenaged boy and five young girls."
The teachers hope to finish the evangelistic lessons in the second village next month.
Praise God for the Kaulong Bible teachers who are faithfully teaching God’s Word in several areas. Pray that God will soften hearts and prepare others to attend the meetings and understand God’s message of grace.
