Looking for more teaching opportunities

Three Tagbanwa believers in the Philippines are working with missionary Ray Pollock to revise evangelistic Bible lessons and Ray is encouraging them to participate in teaching the lessons.

Another round of teaching has just begun and the meeting house was packed out for the first two lessons, with both believers and non-believers attending.

As Ray revises the lessons he is discovering new things about how the people think and perceive the physical and spiritual world around them.

The three men working with him also seem to be learning a lot and the team has had some good discussions about biblical truths.

"We are teaching one lesson on a Sunday morning as this is the best time for most people," wrote Chris Pollock, "but are trying to work out a suitable time during the week for a second teaching session. It seems that it might be best for the ladies and men to have their separate sessions and we are still working on a good time to suit everyone."

It is currently dry season so there is not a lot of work going on in the rice fields, though some people are preparing the hillsides to plant mountain rice. It's the time of the year when, during full moon, the guys go out fishing for squid. They stay out all night and sleep during the day.

"We would appreciate your prayers for wisdom in this," Chris wrote, "and that many would come along to hear the Word and understand clearly God's way of salvation by faith."
