Manjui couple sees hunger for God's Word
Isnei and Zitiila, a Manjui couple in Paraguay, are adjusting to missionary life in a Manjui village far from their home.
Earlier this year Zitiila heard a Manjui man ask, "When are one of you … going to come teach us God's Words?" She returned home and told her husband about the request and he desired to be the one to go.
He wanted to show the Manjui church the need to reach out to others with the Good News.
Soon Isnei and Zitiila packed their belongings and made the long trek to the village where Manjuis and Nivacles live side-by side.
Isnei now teaches four evenings a week. A Manjui man who is fluent in the Nivacle and Manjui languages often translates so that everyone can understand.
As the students hear evangelistic Bible lessons starting in Genesis and continuing through the Bible they have begun to hunger to know more. This has created a hunger to learn to read. Isnei began teaching literacy to a group of 20 men and boys. Many more want to learn to read.
Another group of Manjui people have heard about the teaching in the village where Insei is ministering. This group has been resistant to the Gospel for many years but now they are requesting a Manjui missionary to come teach them the Word of God as soon as possible. Isnei and Zitiila's faithfulness is reaping a harvest.
Pray that another couple will take up the challenge and go to teach those who have requested a missionary. Pray also for Isnei and Zitiila to continue in their ministry.
