Manobo Bible teachers get resources

Piduy, a Bible teacher in the Philippines, is recording evangelistic Bible lessons in the mountain dialect of the Manobo language. He is using recently donated Saber MP3 recorders. The Saber is a useful tool for Bible teaching because it can be powered in various ways, including a hand crank.

The Sabers could be a solution for teachers who have to keep students current with the lessons. The evangelistic Bible series is chronological and it is important that students do not miss a lesson, but unfortunately many miss from time to time. One young man who teaches a group of 28 sometimes needs to teach four different lessons in an evening so that people can catch up.

Missionary Gene Trudeau asked prayer for more MP3 players so that each Manobo Bible teacher can have lessons recorded and available for those who have missed a lesson.

They plan to use MP3 players for teachers in the lowland Manobo dialect also, and Dikung, the Cebuano Bible teacher, needs one of the recorders to record lessons in the Cebuano language.

Praise God with us for His recent provision to purchase 17 players. Pray for Piduy and others as they record lessons. Pray for accuracy and for stamina to complete the task. Pray too for Carol Trudeau as she spends many hours editing each lesson on her computer.
