Mibu teachers excited over new believers
Several Mibu believers in Papua New Guinea came to a weekly teachers' meeting with some exciting news.
They had finished teaching evangelistic Bible lessons and after presenting the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, 55 Mibus trusted in Christ as their Savior. There are still a few that they have not been able to meet with to see if they totally understand the Gospel message so there still may be more new Christians.
Missionaries Geoff and Shannon Husa and Joey and Brooke Tartaglia are discipling the Mibu believers so that they can be fed and strengthened to reach others for Christ. Many who serve in areas far from home need training and encouragement to keep on spreading the Good News.
Last week the missionaries began a series of lessons on child training. They hope to give some foundational teaching on parenting to the Mibus. The missionaries have been developing the lessons for the last year and are now ready to help Mibu believers understand parenting concepts. Next week the lessons will begin to explain what the Scriptures have to say about parenting.
"So we would ask for clarity of mind and wisdom" wrote Geoff Husa, "as we invest our time into these lessons and try to get them all done to a high standard through the various points in Scripture that teach us something about our roles as parents."
Please pray with us for Geoff and Shannon and Joey and Brooke as they disciple the Mibu Bible teachers. Pray that the Mibu believers will grow in the Lord and will continue reaching out to others in their area.
