Missionary couple's son dies
A Kuna missionary couple -- Anelio and Silverixia -- are mourning the loss of their 3-year-old son today.
The couple was traveling by river on Sunday to the village where they have been ministering when they encountered swift water that overturned the boat. Silverixia managed to hold on to their little girl, but their son, Noel, was lost in the river.
Noel’s body was recovered Tuesday afternoon and a funeral was held in the couple’s home village Wednesday.
In the last couple of years the couple has seen God raise up a small group of new believers and they have been teaching Bible lessons to them and a large group of children.
During a phone call Anelio said that the couple "was very aware that they are in a spiritual battle and that after they lost their little boy they learned of a Kuna Christian lady who had also died. They know that Satan is trying to discourage them and the other Christians."
Please pray that God will comfort Anelio and Silverixia in their loss and give them strength through this tragedy.
