Missionary team gains a family
The North Wahgi people of Papua New Guinea may soon hear the Gospel.
Missionaries Andrew and Nellie Wilson and their two children and Daniel and Rachel Hulley with their two children have built homes in a North Wahgi village and are working on building relationships as they learn the culture and language of the people. Now a third family is ready to join the team.
When the Lenz family recently finished learning Melanesian Pidgin and adjusting to the Papua New Guinea culture, they began seeking the Lord's will for their future ministry. Field leaders asked Levi and Robyn to serve as overseers for the maintenance program at a regional mission center.
"We feel that our time working here in support ministry has not only allowed us to grow in our admiration for our support personnel," wrote Levi, "but it has also opened up the door for many opportunities we would have otherwise missed."
Levi and Robyn began to search for an existing church planting team that they could help. They researched and visited many tribal groups in Papua New Guinea. Levi wrote, "We have seen how great the need is and how few the workers are."
When the couple met with the Hulleys and Wilsons they felt God was opening the door for them to join the North Wahgi team.
"It is with much excitement, in fellowship with these two families, [regional leaders] and our sending church leadership that we have agreed to join this team and assist them in seeing a church planted among this vast people group," Levi wrote.
Pray for the Hulleys and Wilsons as they continue to study the culture and language of the North Wahgi people. Pray also for the Lenz family as they prepare to move into the tribe and begin building their home along with building relationships.
