Several Mwinikas have learned to read and write in their own language, and some have learned to teach literacy. Also, for the first time ever, books have been printed in the Mwinika language. “Our friends and neighbors wrote most of the stories,” wrote Nadia Hattingh, “and they feel a keen sense of ownership of these booklets. … We pray that the interest in learning to read will spread and that many will learn to read so that God’s Word will be opened up and speak to their hearts.”
