Mwinikas show they are listening
Confidently, the Mwinika religious leader spoke up loud and clear during the Bible teaching.
The traditional belief system of the Mwinikas “has it all,” he told those gathered, because it follows all the rules needed to satisfy the Holy God.
Equally confident, another voice rose from the crowd.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” a Mwinika man said. He knew the religious leader had missed several Bible lessons, and didn’t understand what he was hearing. “It is better that you keep quiet and listen to the lessons you missed.” These are available on MP3 players.
Another man countered what the religious leader said with what he has been learning from God’s Word.
“As long as you think you can do it in your own power, you cannot be saved,” he said. “You can never satisfy God with your rules.”
The Mwinika people are hearing about the life of Christ, and soon will hear about the price He paid to satisfy God and give us life. Pray that their understanding continues to grow.
