Okweb's prayer is answered

When Tiuli was severely wounded several months ago by a wild pig in a remote village in Papua New Guinea it was a life-changing moment for her brother Noah. Because of the severity of her wounds it was evident that Tiuli needed to be transported to a hospital and would need extensive surgery.

In Papua New Guinea it is necessary that each patient have a care-taker. Noah insisted on going with Tiuli to care for her. Though his family questioned his motives at the time, he was faithful in caring for his sister.

Before the injury, neither Noah nor Tiuli was interested in learning about God. Their father, Okweb, who is missionary Linda Krieg’s translation co-worker, was concerned about their spiritual welfare and was praying for their spiritual growth.

Tiuli’s recovery is wonderful testimony to the power of prayer and Noah’s faith was strengthened by watching God work in Tiuli’s life.

"The spiritual growth in that young man has been a blessing to see, and as he prayed in church this morning, my heart rejoiced in the changes the Lord has wrought," wrote Linda. "He prayed with spiritual insight that could only come from a heart soft and open to the Lord. Please do pray for him, that he will continue to grow in the Lord."

Also, praise God with us that He has answered Okweb’s prayer for spiritual growth in his children.

Pray too for Okweb as he and Linda record the book of Hebrews in preparation for testing it for comprehension and accuracy.
