Panama's tribal people celebrate
"Many hundreds of tribal Christians will be celebrating Christ’s birth in the mountains, along the rivers, and in the jungles of Panama this month," wrote missionary Don Barger.
Don recently received a phone call from Mario, a Guyami believer. Mario reported that he has made many trips to villages in the area to present God’s Word. He has also been memorizing the Scripture verses that Don taught him.
Edelfonso, a Kuna pastor and evangelist, and Teobaldo, a Kuna Bible teacher, made a trip to visit Don bringing news of Spiritual victories among the Kuna church.
Two Emberá believers planned a trip to promote Scripture learning among the tribes but plans were derailed by flooding that affected much of the country. One of the Emberá village churches is hosting an annual Christmas conference.
Our new brother and sister in Christ, Eusebio and Maria from the Naso tribe, will be celebrating the true meaning of Christmas this month along with their 2 small sons as they set an example to their extended family. Damasol, a Buglere believer, is now able to read God’s Word in his own language after two operations successfully restored his sight.
Praise God with us for the believers in Panama who continue to serve God wholeheartedly and are rejoicing in what God is accomplishing among tribal people.
