Partnering to reach Konyaguis

Missionaries Chantal Pilon and Brian and Sherri Hofer are beginning to build relationships and learn the culture of the Konyagui people in Guinea.

Recently missionaries Kirk and Yolanda Rogers traveled over some very bumpy roads to visit the Konyagui people in Guinea and Senegal and encourage the missionary team.

Another purpose of the trip was to help Chantal and the Hofers with culture and language acquisition and formulating a strategy for church planting among all the Konyaguis. They also wanted to visit Senegal to see what God is doing there among the Konyagui people.

In Senegal they met with Pastor Bonéré, who is shepherding a small group of Konyagui believers and reaching out to neighboring villages with the Gospel message.

The missionaries shared with Pastor Bonéré that they desire to partner with him and the other believers in Senegal to establish a strong Konyagui church. Many are open to hearing teaching from the Bible and Bonéré has an open door to teach and evangelize in several villages.

"Pray for our dear brother Bonéré, that God would guide and empower him as he ministers to seeking hearts," wrote Kirk. "Pray also that the Konyagui church there would grow in maturity as well as numerically."

Pray that Brian and Sherri and Chantal learn the culture and language quickly and have a fruitful ministry among the Konyaguis.
