Passing it forward

A Guarijío couple in Mexico, Macario and Genoveva, have allowed missionaries to use their home as a meeting place for teaching. But their community outreach doesn't end there. Macario has begun to teach others about what he has learned so far about God.

When Albino, an elderly Guarijío man who had missed meetings, arrived at their house, Macario took it upon himself to teach Albino the things he had not heard. Macario sat Albino down and began to teach him about salvation.

The teaching surprised Albino. "I have never heard any of this before," he said.

By teaching what he has learned to Albino, Macario is solidifying his belief in and understanding of God's Word.

Steps of faith like these are encouraging to the missionaries serving the Guarijíos. They see the Guarijío people continually growing in their faith, which is an encouraging sign for the future of the Guarijío church.

Please pray that Macario, Albino and other Guarijíos will continue to understand God's purpose for their lives. Pray that the Guarijíos will continue to grow in their faith and be able to establish a strong church.
