Prayer's the fix

Mario was frustrated. The Saber MP3 player he was using was stopping part way through the Bible lessons as he was teaching his sister and her husband in the Cebuano language -- the language spoken in some Philippine towns.

He needed the MP3 player to help him teach since he is a poor reader.

Even though Mario kept cranking the MP3 player to keep the battery charged it would still stop. Since the Saber doesn’t have a way to rewind or fast forward, every time the Saber shut off Mario had to start all over at the beginning of the lesson.

Mario was considering sending the Saber back to missionaries Gene and Carol Trudeau hoping they could figure out what is wrong with it. But before going that route he went to an experienced Manobo Bible teacher, Charlitu, for advice.

"Have you been praying before you go to teach?" Charlitu asked.

"No," Mario answered.

Charlitu suggested it would be good to pray, so he and Charlitu prayed right then as Mario was heading out to teach his sister.

After the teaching session, Mario returned to Charlitu excited. The Saber worked fine.

"It has been a couple of weeks now and the last we heard the Saber is still working fine," the Trudeaus wrote.

Please pray that Mario will have continued, uninterrupted teaching sessions with his sister and her husband and that the couple will put their faith in Christ.
