Productive work makes Scripture clearer

The absence of key Simba co-workers has caused missionaries Jack Russell and Bill Mann to find different helpers than the ones they normally work with on translation.

For the Simba people of Bolivia it’s a slow time between harvest and planting, and church attendance is down due to many of the men looking for work outside the community.

Also, several government projects require the chiefs to be away, attending meetings.

Despite this, "I am having a very productive time," Jack wrote. "It has worked out fine for me and I haven’t lacked help. I am on the last two chapters of Ephesians. It has been very difficult, but quite rewarding. All four of my helpers have expressed at different times how that they really never understood what the epistle was saying, but now it is so clear to them."

Beside the progress in translation, Jack was encouraged when one of the believers, Arturo, recently made an announcement that the Lord is directing him to go and do foundational Bible teaching in another Simba village. He has committed to go each week for two months.

Please pray for Jack and Bill as they still have a lot of work to do on the translation. Pray too for the Holy Spirit to use Arturo to present the Gospel to more Simbas.
