Remembering Christ's death

The young Christians in the Moi tribe are growing up.

"These believers … are showing signs of tremendous growth," wrote missionary Rich Brown. "We are starting to see future Bible teachers truly develop."

The missionaries are now teaching through the book of Acts and focusing on the early practices of the church.

Last Sunday the new believers shared the Lord's Supper for the first time.

"We taught them how the daily staple for the Jews of old was bread and wine," Rich wrote. "Because the Mois don't have bread or wine they could use something else as a substitute. We taught that the emphasis was on what we remember, not on the elements used.

"When they heard they could use sweet potato and water they were thrilled. They generously set aside what was needed for this first communion and together in simplicity we partook."

Praise God with us for what God is doing in the Moi church. Pray that the Moi people will continue to listen, learn and grow.
