Romans 'a monumental task'
Santos, a Guarijio believer in Mexico, and missionary Terry Reed are translating the book of Romans.
"We covet your prayers as we begin this monumental task," wrote Terry.
The Apostle Paul’s communication style is very different from the Guarijio way of speaking, making the translation an incredible challenge. The men hope that completing Romans will make it easier to translate the other Pauline epistles.
Santos’ son, Vincente, formerly helped Terry with the translation but is now working to help support the family. Vincente’s dream is to translate the Scriptures for another tribal group. God is working in his heart and he wants to attend Bible school in Chihuahua. But leaving his job would be a huge leap of faith for the entire family. Vincente’s income helps Santos and the family make ends meet each month.
Please pray that God will remove all of the obstacles that would prevent Vicente from going to Bible school," wrote Terry. "He is an incredibly gifted young man, and we would love to see him do all he can to prepare himself to serve the Lord in any capacity. He is always a blessing anywhere he goes."
