Seeking Unity
Missionary Ben Buckner faced a challenge. Several Nakanai believers were nurturing disagreements and he was tasked with helping them to sort out the problems.
The Nakanais have allowed things to keep them from meeting and addressing the problem, so Ben urged them to get together and settle their differences and to make things right with the Lord.
“Needless to say, we are seeking God to bring about resolution to these issues but we are sure that Satan would like to cause dissolution instead,” wrote Ben.
Some men from other tribes, who are elders in their respective churches, have come to offer wisdom and help reconciling these believers. The elders are familiar to the believers in the Nakanai village and so their word is respected.
“Please pray for humble hearts and for there to be a spirit of grace from everyone,” Ben wrote. Pray for Ben as he kindly, respectfully tries to help unite the Nakanai church.
